Relatability in Leadership
The man who lead Israel out of slavery was never a slave.
What qualified Moses to lead Israel was not that he knew what slavery looked like, but that he knew what freedom looked like. He was the only free man in a generation of slaves.
He didn't know where everyone was coming from, he knew where they were going.
If you choose to relate to people by a shared history you will limit your impact. Relating based on a shared future will broaden your influence.
You do not need to experience sin first hand to know how to defeat it. Otherwise Jesus would have been a colossal failure.
